Every summer in the 1st week of the school holidays St. Mary's run an activity week for children from 5 to 11 years.
Each morning the children will have the opportunity to do lots of different things from crafts, badge making, singing, dancing and having fun! For more photographs from our previous weeks, see below
Then on the Friday we have a BBQ in the evening to which all parents and carers are welcome and join in the fun!
Last year the theme was Backpackers, where we looked at Jesus' last week on Earth as well as visiting France, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland and finished up in London. It was a great week and nearly 75 children had an amazing time travelling around Europe.
This year we will be looking at Creation The children will meet Solomon and his desire to be wise. They will explore three psalms and see what those tell us about God. They'll see Jesus bring sight to a blind man and light to the world. And they'll hear the story of the lost son who is welcomed back by his father. Alongside this the week will be packed with creative ideas on how to explore and discover some of the wonders of the universe and the wonders of God.
Wonder Zone will not now be running from
Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July 2020
Unfortunately because of the Corona Virus pandemic, we will be unable to run our Activity Week/ Holiday Club this year. We are obviously very disappointed particularly as a lot of preparation work had already been done. However this will not be wasted as we can use it next year!
Wonder Zone will hopefully be running in 2021; either last week of July or first week of August!!
