Arnold Parochial Charities
The Arnold Parochial Charities is a recognised Charity which has been awarding grants to the students in the parish of St. Mary's Church for educational purposes since the Nineteenth century. The grants are specifically to help with the purchase of books and/or equipment needed by students for their education, or to assist them in their contribution towards courses and expeditions associated with their studies.
However to be considered for a grant, you must satisfy the following 3 requirements:
1. You must be under the age of 25.
2. You must be resident within the ancient parish boundary of St Mary's Church Arnold which includes much of Daybrook and Woodthorpe.
3. You must submit your application with a receipt for the goods purchased.
The amount of money available for grants varies from year to year, but students are allowed to make repeated applications each year during their courses up to the age of 25.
If you are unsure about your residency qualification, please contact Brian West, who will be able to clarify the parish boundaries for you.
Applications forms can be obtained from the Clerk to the Charity, Mr Brian West, 73 Arnot Hill Road, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 6LN.
